Developing Nation
Let's have a reality check on Malaysia to study the viability of The vision 2020. We shall look into the Environment and educational sector as 2 significant indicator eventhough there are many sectors than can be vastly studied for this standing case. The Environment
"The most important trade and environment problems in least developed countries (LDCs) are: deforestation, desertification, degradation of coastal areas, overfishing, loss of wildlife and other biodiversity resources, land degradation, and the dumping (by other countries) of wastes, environmentally harmful products and obsolete technologies"

We are increasingly getting popular in the Western side of the world for being "The Ambitious" one- ie World tallest skycrapper,Longest bridge. However, least concern is given into the green world-i would say. I never get to see a nice, lush, green side in the area i was raised througout my 18 years of living. Yes, there are some green patches-here and there, but i think mother nature is a great inspiration for us.Men today tend to forget the past easily, albeit the universal truth lies on the fact that men turn on the nature to seek hope when his life tends to slip from realms. Unfortunately, it is the same trees and plants we are killing everyday to pave way towards modernization. My personal conviction on this point here- Nature and men should always seek shoulders at all times.Vision 2020 should place a very high importance on this point.
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.

Education
Education is the key to success to any nation. Any nation with a solid ground on educational settings would succeed in any proceedings held. However, this is a serious agenda that needs delicate care. Any mishandling or misjudgement would definately see a catastrophic impact on every scale that is involved-be it on economy or the political balance. In Malaysia, students are subjected to 10 years of education- with 2 years of additional pre-U called STPM or the Malaysian Higher certificate of Education. However, many students tend to opt out the latter because it does not appeal their senses. The very same case also for me because i did not study STPM as i opted for the South Australian Matriculation. I rarely see any effort to commerlise nor popularize this pre-U. In fact, even our very own education Minister send his daughter to Trinity college,Melbourne to pursue her foundation. My question here-Is the a bleak in the system? I would not turn this into a political satire- but some questions needs some serious answers.
The recet fall of two of the Malaysia's top universities in the THES ranking-University of Malaya(from 89 to 169) and The Science University of Malaysia(from 111 to unranked) is a testamony of the above system. Yes, efforts have been taken to drastically moniter the changes, the syllabus and the campus, however my opinion is that we need to get into the core issue or the suject-which is undeniably the students. I see many local graduates come with a simple ambition-To graduate that is. Yes, blame it on their family conditions or the lack of exposure-but the things is If one decides to think like an average joe, then they shall remain average for their rest of their life. Don t blame it on faith- It's like a weak response given by 6 th grader who lost his notebook.
Real education must ultimately be limited to men who insist on knowing–the rest is mere sheep-herding
