dillema

Hey there

I'm just back from the Star education fair when i laid my hands on this. It was good one i must say.....the reason perhaps was utterly linked due the Hot(whoaaaa sizzling hot) LimKokWing chic.....man, when i went there, she greeted me with a smile so pleasing till i really really wanted to rush to the washroom.....Apparently(or unfortunately, i would say) my mum was there and she realised the change on my face which eventually made me to change my decision. So i walked about aimlessly until i reached some medic-indon booths.......Man, i was shocked( i must say this) because i see some students wanting to become doctors. Now with that,i shall start this discussion on this particular topic. So,folks out there, please don t feel intimidated by some facts i would really like to share and please,i know, it might offend some parties,so lepak ok :)

Now revealing the statistics, the most recent ratio of doctors to patients in any developed country would be around 1:750-800 which means for every one doctor available, there are some 750-800 patients. This may sound big to you but it is not. But the frank truth is that this ratio has been decreasing in Malaysia recently which smells oversaturation

According to a study done, the current ratio in Malaysia is around 1: 1600 WHICH IS STILL healthy but mind you, by the time we reach 2020, the ratio might hit 1:500, a severe condition every tom, dick and harry would be wearing some white coat and walking aimlessly in some ulu hospital treating themselves. Now the biggest query of mine is that, why are people being so desperate of being a doctor? I myself have been thinking and squezzing too hard whether i,too might just fall into this category. Now,some of one might just have some rebuttals by stating that even though the no of docs might see a drastic increase in the current future, the population also sees an exponential increase.Nowithstanding that issue, my lack of understanding lies on that very same statement,if no of population icreases, doesn't that mean no of other opportunities in other fields also sees an eminent increase? Yet people L.O.V.E (oh thanks Ashley simpson) this job :)

In retrospect, i can't deny the ultimate fact that the job is something that is looked upwards( you know, noble, benevolent, passionate blah, blah, blah). But,does that kind of mentality also apply to today's aura? Well, please don t ever blame it on parents.Undeniably,it is always up to you to make up that very decision. The thing here is that doctors don t really earn as much as many may vehemently think(well RM 30000,if you are really really expert). There is no such term as a holiday in a busy docs life. And most importantly, i think this job requires you to place your profession above your family. Just imagine, a situation where you and your spouse are both doctors, would you be able to spend quality time with your child?

so folks, what do you have to say

To be continued.............................

Prologue?

I don't believe in Prologues......People who read my blog would come to realisation that i'm a someone who is trying hard to force opinion(s). We'll see about that issue
