Expectations?
Dad : I want you to get yourself into to Edinburgh University!Kid : Hey but i've always wanted to be a pilot
Dad : So, you want to be a professional driver,huh?
Kid : Ain t doctors professional murderers? Everytime i see a cardiologist coming out from a
failed operation, his answer would be- Your party has a real weak heart, i m sorry!
Dad : stop it, i want you to be a doctor- or you better keep it shut!
Sad, but this is the ultimate truth. Parents expect way too much from their offspring. From the day we are brought into this world, they are indeed the closest companion we've ever had. Let's not argue that fact. The point is, isn t life that we are heralding right now,in this very moment, is just an experience? Do you believe in Karma? Hinduism states that the child that we are blessed is a way of Karma balance.Sounds complicated? Well, nothing is perfect, so the child that you're blessed is sort of manner to diminish your sins and sow the seed of love. Realize that a child is mere tool to teach you about life,not to EXPECT him or her to repay the kindness you showered upon them.
I've to agree that the primodium issue is that every parents wanted their kids to lead a better life and to be a person who could contibute to the society's well-being. However, this very fact has been a very manipulative deal. Parents nowadays pay for the education,with a twist in it, expecting their kids way too much. Don t expect for them very much. We would get a real blow when we do not achieve what we dire for. The conceptual meaning could be also based to happening surrounding us. Just look at some senior citizens who lead their final years in those old folks' places. if you ask me, i wouldn't blame their children. The point is, they expected way too much for their kids.
Life is not real. It's a strange yet fulfilling experience for the human species,the special kind with a priceless gift-the mind or the ability to think. However it never fails to amuse me to see how humans indulge in war,terrorism and of course, without even a proper understanding within their nucleus family. Those meaningless dispute over left-over properties? All boils down to one root cause-EXPECTATIONS!
Lets take a mother hen concept. A mother hen lays 4 eggs and eventually produces 4 chicks. During the initial stage, she raises her chicks with so much love and compassion. When it rains, she would cover her chicks with her own feather.She feeds all her chicks with utmost just. But after some time, do you realize that very hen would eventually chase off her own chicks as the right time arrives. The very same meaning should be manifested among parents nowadays. Love them to an extent, not to the extent that would interfere when they've gotten their own family.
